Buffalo Trip

The kids, Mom, and Auntie Erika went to Buffalo to visit our family last week. Ruby of course got lots of attention. She is speaking very well and likes to repeat words. These are some of the cutest of the cute pictures. Notice her two top teeth. Griffin has informed us that she also has two bottom teeth.

Griffin's Four Birthday Parties

Griffin really enjoyed his birthday parties this year. We decorated his room on his actual birthday with balloons and streamers and made him breakfast in bed. We went to the beach and ate pizza for dinner. One highlight of his birthday is that our monarch caterpillar emerged from his chrysalis as a butterfly and flew away! It was amazing to see. In Buffalo we had an ice cream cake at Grandma Sheila's and Grandpa Ed's and had ANOTHER party at Aunt Irene's and Uncle Dave's. Lucky little guy!! We also visited a nice old farm and took a walk in the city of Buffalo.

A good time had by all!

We partied hard! The day was full of raspberry picking, running, jumping, cupcake eating, pinata smashing, and a nature walk led by 10 kids with sugar buzzes. Griff got some great gifts from his friends that will surely keep him occupied for a while. A resident chimpmonk was brave enough to relentlessly scavenge for food with 10 young kids nearby. Unfotunately the party ended with Griffin getting a splinter in his hand. He was brave enough to let us perform surgery with a fish hook and we successfully extracted it without much of a fight. It was a good excuse to get an ice cream cone on the way home.

Ruby was keeping up with the big kids on the nature walk and happily followed the chipmonk around most of the time. Enjoy the party picures!

It's party time!

Well, it's almost party time for our boy Griffin! Monday we will be celebrating his birthday at the Visitor Inteperative Center, a local nature center. The days events will include nature walks, cup cake eating, and pinata smashing! Auntie Erika has made her way to the North County and is very excited to party down with Griff, Ruby, and all their friends. Stay tuned for all the groovy party details and super cute photos.
