Mush!

Griffin and his classmates went for a dog sled ride on Mirror Lake in Lake Placid. That's Griffin in the back of the sled with the fire hat on. Ruby and Daddy tagged along and also got a chance to go for a ride.

Another Great Ski Day!

Griffin leading the way on the trail.

We had another great ski day on Saturday. We all went the the Adirondack Visitor Interperative Center in Paul Smiths. There was a ton of new snow!

We borrowed a baby ski sled from friends and Ruby traveled in comfort.

Half way through our two mile ski Ruby decide to emerge from her chariot and do a little bit of skiing.

We stopped near a waterfall and some open water in hopes of catching a glimps of the River Otters that frequent this spot.

The Big Dump

We recieved over 24 inches of snow on Valentines Day. Griffin, Ruby and I started our day with some Jelly Beans. We then made a special Valentines visit to Mama with flowers, balloons, and a special lunch. After lunch we went for a ski and of course we had hot cocoa.
After we thought we had enough snow for one day Griff and I decided we need to go out for one more play session.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Quince!

We made an awesome snow shelter in the front yard. A big side for Mama and Daddy, and a smaller side for
Griffin and Ruby. Griffin wants to sleep in it. Hmmmmm

Black Pond Expedition 2007

It's been cold in the Adirondacks, but it has not stopped us from getting out. We skied to a lean-to on Black Pond for hot drinks and snacks. Griffin did great, negotiating up and down hills and unbroken trials and was unaffected by sub-zero wind chills. Ruby also did awesome. She giggled as she slid down hills and likes to frequently "wipe out."

Southbound Train

Griffin, Ruby and Mama took the train to NYC to visit Grandpa & Grandma Kitty, and Auntie E. They strolled through downtown Manhattan, visited the local parks, went to the Museum of Natural History, and spent lots and lots of time playing with the kitties. When Ruby was asked her name by strangers she replied, "I'm a kitty", and Griffin's response, "I'm a hermit crab."
