Halloween Cowboy & Cowgirl

We had a great Halloween. Griffin knew he was going to dress up as a cowboy long before Halloween was even near. Ruby relectantly wore a cowgirl vest, but no hat. Griffin and Ruby's friends Lena and Owen came over early for pizza and then we all went trick or treating. Enjoy the pictures.

First Snow

Ruby learned the difference between hot and cold, learned why its important to wear mittens, and tasted her first bit of snow.

Down east

Our trip to Maine was wonderful and it was great to spend time with Jay and Hallie before the baby came. We spent a lot of time visiting forts. Griffin especially liked to play pirate and you can see he defeated daddy at one of the oldest forts in the country (in a town named Castine, est. in the 1600). We also drove up the coast to Acadia and camped a few nights before the driving rain came for 3 days straight. By the end of the trip the kids were tired, so were Hallie and Jay, but the kids enjoyed paying in the ocean (well Griffin was the only one to actually go in the ocean, brrr), camping, and playing with Hallie and Jay. Griffin built some cool fairy houses in the woods and loved exploring life on the beaches, Ruby liked playing in the sand and collecting firewood, and we just enjoyed spending some time together.
