Happy Birthday Otters!

We celebrated 3 very special Birthday today. Louie, Squeeker, & Squirt, the Otters at the Wild Center inTupper Lake, threw a excellent party complete with cake and party hats for the kids, and an ice cake with grapes, carrots, and apples for the Otters.

Ridin' the Magic Carpet

We went skiing at Whiteface Mountain for the first time this year. It was easy convincing once I told the kids there was a magic carpet. The magic carpet is like one of those flat escalator things, and it takes you to the top of the kids slope. It was sunny, 40 degrees, and beautiful!
Griffin is a big fan of the magic carpet.

I told Ruby she would get to where a helmet with fire on it (Griffin bike helmet), and she asked if it purple fire on it. She always thinks fashion on the slopes.

At first Griffin used the wipe out method of stopping. But quickly learned his "snow plow". He even made some nice turns.

Super Cute Girl

I tried to cut Ruby's hair. I made about two cuts which ended up being enough to straighten her bangs and then the pressure was too much. Anyway, with pig tails it does not look too bad.
And the fact that she is super cute helps out too.

Ski to smile

This was the last day of Griffin's youth ski league. We had a nice ski tour, we tried to ski with one ski on, and then we ate pizza and brownies. Griffin is in the front row with the orange jacket and red hat (center left). Daddy is in the back with the cool shades on (back right).

New toy!

We have been playing with a new keyboard that been loaned to us. Ruby uses parts of her face to play it and giggles at the same time. Griffin is composing the sound track for a scary movie that takes place in the city, and their are vampires living there. He does alot of work on the low end.

Yes, more skiing pictures

We have been skiing so much latley. The snow keeps falling and conditions are excellent. The kids are enjoying the winter so much and so are we.

This is Ruby's head-turning ski outfit, complete with tutu (princess). There's not a skier on the hill that can resist the cuteness.

Griffin and Zoe particpated in a Boxershort Triathlon Relay on Saturday. The race consists of one skiier, one snowshoer, and a sledder. The team members must wear an oversized pair of boxer shorts over their ski clothes, and transfer the boxers to each member of their team after they complete a lap. Zoe was the ski leg on her team, and Griffin the sled leg on his team. Griffin's team beat Zoe's team. I wil post the pictures soon.
