Griffin the Grad

Griffin enjoyed his "stepping up" ceremony from Pre-K. He joined his classmates on stage to sing a song. The teacher gave out awards; he received the "dangerous species expert" award - there's one in every bunch. Later the teacher showed a slideshow compilation of their year. Of course a few moms (and dads) and I were sobbing in the back row. Later we had snacks and said farewell to Pre-K. Next its on to the "big school". More on that later...

Clothesline Show

I put up a new clothesline in the back yard and right away the kids started to use it as thier stage curtains. Before every show, they would instruct me to, "wonder when this show is going to start?" They would open up by running back and forth through wet laundry, then spin cocoons in my t-shirt and last, a fall down giggling finale.

First Haircuts

Fishin' at Cottage River

Let's go fishing Grandpa Ed! Ruby was extremely excited to receive a new pink fishing pole for her birthday, and she was just as excited to use it. She practiced casting as soon as the pole was freed from it's packaging. Griffin was also ready after telling fish stories all winter. He came equipped with net, pole, and tackle box (supplied by Grandpa Ed).

First Family Canoe Trip 07

We went on our first family canoe trip of the year last Saturday. It was one of the longest trips we have done as a family and the kids were awesome. We looked for critters, we pretended we were lost at sea, and Ruby even managed to get in a nap. Todd and Emily were visiting for the weekend and joined us on our adventure.

Of course if there was a critter to been seen, it was seen by Griffin

And Ruby was super cute as usual.

Baby Zarela Gully

Our friends Nick and Tammy just had a beautiful baby girl named Zarela. We went and visited her in the hospital and while there, got to see pictures of baby Griffin and baby Ruby still posted on the wall.

Happy Birthday Ruby!

Ruby had a birthday party! We made beaded necklaces, ate cupcakes, and opened gifts.
