Coney Mountain

And to finish off an awesome fall Adirondack weekend, we hiked up a little mountain south of Tupper Lake called Coney Mountain. It offers incredible views of 10 different water sheds from the summit, forests filled with fern beds, HUGE Yellow birch & Sugar Maple trees, and a big ass hornets nest. The hike started with a little bit of complaining, but by the end everyone was loving the day. Afterwards we stopped off at Bog River Falls to throw sticks in the rushing water.

What an incredible weekend in the Adirondacks! Beautiful days filled with sunshine and blue skies, along with the color of the changing leaves and a three day weekend, could get any better!

Heading out to Bluff Island on Lower Saranac Lake for a sunset/moonrise dinner.

World cup championship

We had an awesome day for our last soccer tournament of the season. Everyone played hard and had a lot of fun. Griffin scored a goal and nearly scored two others. Now for a little down time before ski season.

Get your apple pies!

Ruby's class made pies from apples they picked at the apple orchard, sold them, and will take the money they earned, divided it equally between each student to by food at Aldi's that will then be donated to the local food pantry. Cool!

Birthday Bikers

We always have the best time on Zoe's birthday and this year was no exception We started our day with a walk downtown and breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe. Afterwards we loaded some snacks, birthday yummies, and our bikes and headed out to Fish Creek Ponds for some birthday biking. It was a beautiful day and we rode a total of 6.5 miles, 1.5 miles of which were on mountain bike trails. We end our day with wine and a yummy meal at home. How could a birthday celebration be any better.

 On the mtn bike trail Griffin zoomed off with friends we met along the way, while Ruby had to do a little pushing. The pink Mystic bike (basket included) was not made for the trail, but Ruby was a trooper and made her Mama proud!
