Expedition Impossible: Ledge Pond

Today we attempted to visit Ledge Pond, a seldomly visited pond in the Saint Regis Canoe Area Wilderness. After carrying over several old beaver dams, pulling our way through 4 inches of water on 2 feet of mud, scrapes and scratches on the knees, and a long narrow trail that faded into the forest, we realized we where beaten. Seven Carries

Well, we actually only did three of the Seven Carries Canoe Route in the Saint Regis Canoe Area, and were perfectly happy doing so.

Summer!!!

Our neighbor's daughter Michelle took us on a pontoon boat ride with her niece Carly, who last year befriended Griffin & Ruby durring her summer visits to the Adirondacks. We did a little swimming, snacking and of course ice cream eating. What a great way to spend a hot day!
